Mission San Jose, 43300 Mission Blvd., Fremont
An accomplished pianist, organist and carilloneur, Timothy Zerlang will be familiar to old-timers in the Fremont Symphony family, as he served as the Symphony’s Executive Director from 1992 to 1998. During that time he also performed two outstanding benefit recitals for the Symphony.
Currently Director of Music and organist at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in San Francisco, Zerlang also teaches piano and carillon at Stanford and is the University’s carillonneur. He will perform on the antique Spanish organ at Old Mission San Jose and on their beautiful concert grand piano.
Presented by the Fremont Symphony Guild, the recital is a benefit for the Fremont Symphony Orchestra. Tickets are $35 for adults, $10 for children and full-time students with ID. A reception with wine and hors d’oeuvres will be held after the performance.
